42-year-old stroke survivor, Brett Opthof, will soon need to have a second open-heart surgery to fix a damaged aortic valve... but that is not stopping him from running for his life and the lives of others.

And you can help. August long weekend Brett will running the perimeter of Oxford County to help raise awareness of his upcoming run.....the 898 KM Bruce Trail from Tobermory to the Niagara Region.

Note From Brett:

For my first lead-up event for the Bruce Trail run, I am going to run around Oxford County (225kms) over the Civic long weekend starting Friday after work. I’m looking for anyone interested in either running or biking along with me, possible police escort, water and food drop off points. Please let me know if you are interested.
