A Record Breaking Woodstock Day at Rogers Centre

Approximately 1,600 Woodstock residents will travel to Toronto on April 29th to watch the Toronto Blue Jays take on the Tampa Bay Rays.

WOODSTOCK - The 13th annual Woodstock Day at the Rogers Centre will have a record breaking attendance! About 1,600 Woodstonians are expected to travel to Toronto to cheer on the Blue Jays this year.

Those who purchased tickets for the big game may be excited to pick them up. Brad Janssen, the city's Manager of Communications and Special Events says the tickets aren't quite ready for pick up at this time.

"Currently we're waiting for the balance of our tickets from the Blue Jays and until we've received those we can't start making calls to let people that they can come to the Community Complex to pick up their packages."

Janssen hopes the tickets will be ready for pick up as of Tuesday April 18th. He tells Heart FM there will be lots of opportunities for ball fans to pick up their tickets.

"They can visit the Community Complex between 9am and 5pm weekdays and even on Saturday the 22nd of April we'll staffing there for those that can't make it throughout the week. We'll do that right through to Friday the 28th; the day before the game."

How quickly you pick up your ticket does NOT impact where you will be sitting. City employees assign each seat ahead of time; doing their best to accommodate group seating and specific recommendations (ex: an aisle seat).

The Toronto Blue Jays will be hosting the Tampa Bay Rays at 1:07pm on Saturday April 29th.
