BBQ Season Safety Reminders

For many Ontario residents, the Victoria Day holiday weekend marks the unofficial start of barbecuing season. Government officials are reminding people to inspect and clean their barbecues before firing them up. Always use propane barbecues outdoors and at least three metres from a house or tree -- and never grill in the garage. When the meal is cooked, make sure the barbecue and gas supply are turned off and the burner flames are out before closing the cover.
