Bike Month Kick Off in Ingersoll

The Ingersoll Safe Cycling Committee will kick off Bike Month with a Family Bike Ride in Memorial Park.

INGERSOLL - Keep an eye out for cyclists around Ingersoll as the Ingersoll Safe Cycling Committee kicks off Bike Month.

The Family Bike Ride starts at 12:30 p.m. today at Memorial Park. Three routes are available depending on skill levels - a 5 km, a 10 km, and a 20 km.

Special Projects Assistant with the Town of Ingersoll Bonnie Ward says there will be lots of bike related fun to start things off with a bang.

"We're going to be having a bike decorating contest for the little ones and a small bike treasure hunt, and a free barbeque sponsored by the Kiwanis club."

Free used bikes will also be available for those who need them. Sizes and quantity are dependent upon donations.

The Ingersoll Safe Cycling Committee has even more events planned throughout the month of June to celebrate Bike Month.
