Brant OPP Briefs – July 5th 2017

Brant OPP briefs include two trailer thefts and multiple long weekend traffic offenses.

Brant OPP are investigating after two trailers were broken into in Brant County.

Officers believe the first incident occurred on St George Road at some point over the weekend.

They say the suspects broke into the locked trailer and stole $12,000 worth of tools and a Honda generator.

OPP say another tool trailer was broken into on Railway Street in Paris early yesterday morning and approximately $2,500 worth of construction tools have been stolen.

Anyone with information on either of these thefts should reach out to Brant OPP or Crime Stoppers.

 

Brant OPP also kept their eyes open for aggressive drivers over the weekend.

120 speeding charges, 2 racing charges, 3 seatbelt charges and 3 distracted driving charged were laid. Officers also witnessed 9 hazardous movement violations, 17 other Highway Traffic Act offences, 5 insurance violations, 3 impaired drivers and 2 drug related offences.
