Closures and Cancellations for Fri. Feb 8th

Here are the latest closures and cancellations in the Woodstock-Oxford County area due to the snowstorm: The Woodstock Navy Vets will not get to play game 4 of their playoff series at home. Due to the snowstorm, the game has been cancelled, and will be made up in Paris tomorrow night. Mounties lead the series 3-games-to-0. Woodstock Minor Hockey has cancelled all games and practices for tonight. 4Cats Arts Studio has cancelled all classes for the day and is closed until tomorrow morning. Tillsonburg cancels aqua fit, adult swim, creative pre-school and public skating today. The Health Club, arena rentals, and scheduled swim meet still on. The Fusion Youth Centre will be closed this evening. Scheduled to re-open at 1PM Saturday. The City of Woodstock has closed the Civic Centre Arena, and the Woodstock Health and Fitness Gym inside the Community Complex is closed. Woodstock Transit say buses are running this morning but riders should be prepared for delays as crews are trying to keep up with the heavy snow that is falling. City of Woodstock and Town of Tillsonburg garbage and recycling pickups for today (Friday) are cancelled and will be picked up on Saturday. Southside Aquatic Centre is closed. Ingersoll Senior Centre and Services for Seniors is closed. South Gate Centre in Woodstock is closed. Cowan Park/Woodstock Soccer Club is closed. Woodstock Co-Operative Dance School has cancelled their evening classes. All Thames Valley District School Board and London District Catholic School Board schools are closed. John Knox Christian School is also closed. The TVDSB Educations Centre and Adult Alternative & Continuing Education Centre are closed. LDCSB have also closed the Board Office. Fanshawe College Academic Upgrading/GED class is cancelled this morning (Friday). WDDS have cancelled all of their programs for today (Friday) but say their office will remain open. All three Good Beginnings Childcare Centres are closed in Woodstock which does include the before and after school programs with the schools being closed today (Friday). The Friendship Co-op Playschool Centre is closed. Oxford Community Child Care office is closed. Ontario Early Years programs are cancelled as well as Thamesford Preschool. Parkside and Victoria Park Community Centre in Ingersoll are closed. Little Steps Daycare in Beachville is closed. All Oxford-Elgin Child & Youth Centre offices in Oxford and Elgin Counties are closed Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Oxford County Branch offices are closed. Woodstock and Area Community Health Centre (WACHC) is closed.
