A Waterloo man is facing charges following a collision on Highway 401 Monday

OXFORD COUNTY - A collision which closed down a portion of Highway 401 Monday afternoon has landed a Waterloo man with criminal charges. 

Oxford OPP were called to the eastbound lanes between Foldens Line and Sweaburg Road around 1:45 yesterday afternoon after a pick up truck came into contact with two vehicles and two tractor trailers causing one of the tractor trailers to jackknife across all three lanes of the highway.  
 
The male driver of the pickup was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.  There were no other injuries.  
 
As a result of investigation the driver of the pickup, 32 year old William Coutts of Waterloo has been charged with Driving while under suspension, Dangerous Operation of Motor Vehicle and Driving while disqualified.
