Crown: Together They are Guilty

The Crown's case against Michael Rafferty in the murder of Tori Stafford is being laid out once again in a closing address to the jury today. Kevin Gowdey opened his address by saying Rafferty and Terri-Lynne McClintic "were in this together, together they are guilty". He says there are "no issues" with the evidence the Crown has presented in the case. Gowdey told the jury Rafferty knew what was happening, and controlled all of the events on April 8th, 2009. He showed the jury photos and videos to refresh their memory. One of the key points made this morning was Rafferty's car was seen driving by Oliver Stephen's Public School at 9:04 a.m. on April 8th. Gowdey says that proves Rafferty was "scoping out" the area, while McClintic was at a Church and then shopping during the same time frame. The Crown's closing address will continue through the afternoon and into tomorrow before the Judge's charge to the jury.
