Public Health looking for a jack russell puppy in Woodstock

WOODSTOCK - A man is hoping to avoid a series of rabies shots after allegedly being bitten by a dog in the City.

Oxford Public Health says sometime between 10:30 and 11 Sunday morning the man was bit by a Jack Russell puppy in Roth Park being walked by a young girl about 12-14 years old. 
 
Rabies is a virus found in the saliva of infected wild animals such as skunks, foxes, raccoons and bats. It can spread to other wild animals, farm animals, pets and humans through a bite, scratch, cut or contact with the moist tissues of the mouth, nose and eyes.
