Donations Needed For Coats For Kids

With winter fast approaching and Operation Sharing in Woodstock is once again holding its annual Coats for Kids drive.

WOODSTOCK - Winter is right around the corner, and that means that Operation Sharing in Woodstock is once again holding its annual Coats for Kids drive next week.

Coats for Kids is a donation drive whose goal is to collect all the unwanted coats, hats, mittens, and boots in the friendly city, and donate them to kids, teens, and adults who need them.

Marilyn Schmiddl, who organizes the event, lists some of the locations where you'll be able to donate.

"Foodland, Food Basics, and Sobey's are the main ones and you can also drop them off at the College Avenue United Church."

The coats will be handed out on November 16th and 17th to those in need at the College Avenue United Church. The drive is asking for all winter related clothing, hats, mittens, boots, snow pants and of course coats. They are also looking for all sizes from infants to adults to keep everyone warm this winter.

Donations are a little down this year and they are hoping for more coats to pile in this week.
