Drunk Driver Arrested on the 401

Oxford OPP were able to take an alleged impaired driver off the 401, before something serious happened. Police were tipped off Tuesday afternoon about an erratic driver on the 401 Westbound. The silver Mazda was located by police leaving the westbound service centre. The officer observed the vehicle driving at inconsistent speeds, and continually swerving and crossing the rumble strips. The vehicle was pulled over, and the male driver arrested. 45-year-old Vinobha Droom of Scarborough is facing impaired driving charges.
