Early Years Programs Back in Ingersoll

From infants to toddlers to pre-schoolers, the fun is back in Ingersoll. This morning, Oxford Community Child Care re-launched Early Years Programming in the town. It's now running out of the Ingersoll Nurse Led Practitioners Clinic, at 19 King St. East. The programs include "Play and Learn" for toddlers and pre-schoolers, "Baby Power", and "Cook Book" for nutrition ideas for parents. Lisa Longworth with the clinic says the Early Years Centre is a welcomed addition to what they already offer at the clinic. "People can be part of that program (Early Years), but check out our services as well and if they're in need, look at accessing primary health care, and all of the other inter-health professional services we have here." Longworth says if you've never been involved in Early Years programing before, it's not hard for parents of infants to pre-schoolers to join in on the fun. "It's a drop-in format. Sometimes parents are hesitant if they have to be there every day, or be there on a certain day of the week. Especially when you have little ones, it's really hard to plan at times. So they can just drop-in and fill-out a registration on-site with the Ontario Early Years Centre." Click here for more details on the programs.
