Four New School Related Cases of COVID-19 in Oxford County

Four new school related cases of COVID-19 were reported in Oxford County over the weekend. The list of affected schools includes South Ridge PS, Southside PS, Central PS and St. Patrick's Catholic Elementary School.

TVDSB/LDCSB - The Thames Valley District School Board reported 16 new confirmed or probable cases of COVID-19 over the weekend.

Three of those cases are in Oxford County. They are at Central Public School, Southside Public School and South Ridge Public School. You can find a complete breakdown of all of the newest cases of COVID-19 in the TVDSB below.

- South Ridge Public School (Tillsonburg)
- Straffordville Public School
- Summer's Corners Public School (Aylmer)
- Saunders Secondary School (London)
- Mountsfield Public School (London) - 2 cases
- Woodland Heights Public School (London)
- Tecumseh Public School (London) - 2 cases
- West Oaks French Immersion Public School (London) - 2 cases
- Riverside Public School (London)
- Byron Northview Public School (London) 
- F.D. Roosevelt Public School (London)

COVID-19 outbreaks have also been declared at Tecumseh Public School and West Oaks French Immersion Public School. The Thames Valley District School Board is currently reporting 4 active cases within the Tecumseh PS community and another 4 active cases within the West Oaks French Immersion community. Public Health officials declare an outbreak whenever they find a connection between at least two cases. Both schools remain open at this time.

Meanwhile, the London District Catholic School Board is reporting a new case of the virus at St. Patrick's Catholic Elementary School in Woodstock.

Both school boards have already reached out to all of the affected parents, guardians and staff members. This means if you have not received a letter from school officials, your child is not considered to be at risk.
