Fusion Centre Staffing Shakeup

Staffing changes at the Fusion Centre could save the town of Ingersoll roughly $35,000

INGERSOLL - The Town of Ingersoll recently conducted a review of the Fusion Youth Centre.

They were looking at ways to save money. Staff have recommended a staffing restructure where two program coordinator positions will be eliminated and a new full time assistant manager position will be created.

Director of Parks and Recreation Bonnie Ward tells Heart FM they are going back to their original staffing structure.

"We went through a complete review of the operation at the centre and we were looking for ways to find some efficiency. When we actually opened up the Fusion Youth Centre almost 10 years ago we had a manager and an assistant manager and we found it would be efficient and there would be some cost savings as well to go back to it's original organization structure with a manager and an assistant."

Ward says the changes will save the town roughly $35,000 a year and it will ensure that each shift the centre will have a supervisor or assistant manager on site.
