The Tippin Rink is representing the Woodstock Curling Club at the Scottie Tournament of Hearts in Brampton.

WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Curling Club is well represented at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Brampton happening this week.

Skip Julie Tippin is competing for the local curling club and her team consists of third Chantal Lalonde, Second Rachelle Vink and lead Tess Bobbie. The Tippin rink fared well in their first game yesterday beating the Hanna rink from Ottawa in a tight game 7-6. Tippin herself is actually from Owen Sound, however Rachelle Vink is from Woodstock.

Tippin and her squad will have their hands full today as they take on former National champ Rachel Homan and her rink from Kanata. Homan is the favourite to win the Scotties this year.

The winner of the Scotties will get to represent Southern Ontario at the National Championships next month.
