(submitted)

Nearly $6,000 in cash and gift cards were collected during the 5th Annual Conquer the Cold Realtors Care Campaign last month.

WOODSTOCK/INGERSOLL - The 5th Annual Conquer the Cold Realtors Care Campaign was another huge success this year.

During the month on November, agents from the Woodstock-Ingersoll and Real Estate Board collected donations for two great charities.

President Neil Krushel says there was a healthy fun spirited competition with all W.I.D.R.E.B brokerages collecting donations for two great charities.

“I am very proud of our members and the support they give to this amazing event, which continues to be a great success every year. We want our communities to know that your local REALTORS® are not just real estate representatives, but friends and neighbours who care about our communities. I would also like to take the time to personally thank our REALTORS® Care Committee for all their hard work and dedication that they put towards creating such a successful and well received event every year.”

They set a new record for donations in 2019. Realtors collected cash and cheque donations of $5,108, Gift Cards totaling $655, 18 warm Hats, 3759 pairs of socks, 72 warm mitts and gloves, 13 scares, 11 pairs of slippers and over 770 personal hygiene items.

Krushel says they are thrilled with this years results.

“The generosity from our REALTORS® at this time of year is amazing. We have done our “Inn Out of the Cold Campaign” for 12 years and revamped it to “Conquer the Cold” in 2015, we saw more donations in 2019 than ever before, and I am very proud to see our donations get greater each year!”

All of the donations will be given to the Inn Out of the Cold at Old St Paul’s Church in Woodstock and Ingersoll & District Inter-church in Ingersoll.
