Looking For Re-Election

Making sure the community is prepared for the future is the goal of Kristy Van Kooten-Bossence.

INGERSOLL - Kristy Van Kooten-Bossence is looking for another term on Ingersoll Town Council.

The Manager at the Comfort Inn and Suites for the last 16 years, Van Kooten-Bossence says she brings a lot of business experience to the position.

"I have worked with different community organizations such as Kiwanis, I've been a part of the TEA which is Traditional Explorers Association so I've worked with a lot of community groups, able to have a lot of one on one conversations with people and be able to listen to what their concerns are within our community."

While she knows everyone is worried about the possible landfill, she doesn't see just one issue as a top concern of hers.

"I think that our community as a whole, we need to make sure that we're prepared for the future and we can move forward. Taxes and bringing them down but at the same time putting into reserves and being able to take care of our infrastructure is very important as well."

Van Kooten-Bossence believes the new council needs to continue to do what the current council is doing.

"That's be the voice and the ears and the eyes of the community and doing what we think is in the best interest of a community as a whole. The community know what they think they want so let's continue to do that and bring everything together as a community."

Van Kooten-Bossence is one of ten people looking to fill five positions.
