Major Construction Projects Still Happening in Oxford County

Oxford Road 29 between Oxford Road 3 and Oxford Road 36 just outside of Drumbo, will be closed until at least September 11th for bridge rehabilitation; Canterbury Street is closed today in Ingersoll for storm sewer repairs. 

BLANDFORD-BLENHEIM - Oxford Road 29 between Oxford Road 3 and Oxford Road 36, will be closed until at least September 11th. 

Sierra Construction has started bridge rehabilitation on the road today, that connects Drumbo to Brant County. The Bridge will be closed between Clarke Road and Blenheim Road to all traffic. 

Meanwhile in the Town of Ingersoll, Canterbury Street will be closed for two days, starting today for storm sewer repairs by Viewcon Construction. Local traffic only, no through traffic, detour route will be in place.

Manager of Engineering Services Melissa Abercrombie issued the following statement about upcoming construction projects. 

"Some construction will be moving forward, including the one they are asking about. Oxford County has reviewed our capital plan and is only proceeding with critical work.

We are ensuring contractors are following Public Health recommendations and the additional guidelines put out by the province this weekend."
