Maxwell Adam Seeking Re-election in Tillsonburg

If re-elected this fall, Maxwell Adam would like to find a way to bring more industrial jobs back to Tillsonburg.

TILLSONBURG - A Tillsonburg Councillor is looking to represent his community for another four years.

Maxwell Adam is finishing his first term; where he was glad to help enact a debt strategy and witness the beginning stages of a transportation pilot project.

If re-elected this fall Adam says he would like to help bring more industrial jobs back to the area.

"We just got news that another local business is leaving so that will definitely be a focus for myself personally to see what we can do to attract industry and more jobs to Tillsonburg. I would imagine that will be a number one priority with the new council."

He would also like to chat with OPP and the Police Services Board about their Crime Prevention Strategy; adding policing takes up 15 to 10 percent of the Town's budget.

Adams says Tillsonburg's housing market has been hot over the past couple of years, but it can still improve.

"I think there is a need for alternative housing still in Tillsonburg, whether it be affordable seniors housing or really just housing options for young people. When you're talking about paying $275,000 or $300,000 just to consider it entry level housing nowadays that seems a little ludicrous."

Adam adds he will be talking with the locals over the next couple of months. He would like to hear their thoughts on council's accomplishments and how they can improve.
