Without the Snowbirds, organizers of Ontario South Coast Airshow are not willing to continue on with the show.

TILLSONBURG -- It looks like residents will have to go outside of the County to see an airshow...at least for now.

Ontario's South Coast Airshow Chair Andre Brisson told Tillsonburg council earlier this month that while the show was profitable this year bringing in over $37,000, he believes it's not viable to hold an annual airshow and that the audience will tire of seeing the Snowbirds every 2 years.

Brisson declined comment to Heart FM but said in his presentation to council that 2,400 people attended the two Snowbird shows in June but just one thousand people came to the second airshow in August, the most Brisson believes will ever come to an airport of Tillsonburg's size. The smaller crowd also caused a $15,000 loss, which had to be covered by the profits of the June show.

The Airshow Committee donated $6,500 from their contingency fund to the Turtlefest Committee.
