We are expecting more announcements regarding the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic from the local levels of Government in Oxford County, The Province and the Federal Government today.
OXFORD COUNTY - We are expecting more announcements from the local levels of Government, The Province and the Federal Government today.
Premier Doug Ford has scheduled a press conference for 11:00 a.m and the Prime Minister, Just Trudeau is set to have one at 1:00 pm. We are anticipating they are going to announce increased measures to stop the spread of the Coronavirus.
Locally, government officials are meeting at all levels of Government. We have reached out to all of the mayors in Oxford County. They will be having a conference call with Southwestern Public Health at 11:00 a.m and we expect to have more information from them shortly.
Currently March Break camps are closed across the board. The Town of Ingersoll has closed the following facilities:
- Community centres
- Recreation and sport programming
- Community rentals
- March break day camp programs
- Fusion Centre
The Town of Tillsonburg has also cancelled recreation programs which you can read about online here. The link for the City of Woodstock closures and cancellations can be found online here.
