Oxford OPP Briefs - November 26th 2017

Oxford OPP briefs include a case of mailbox vandalism in Tillsonburg and a break and enter in Blandford Blenheim.

TILLSONBURG - Oxford OPP are on the lookout after a resident reported a case of mailbox vandalism in Tillsonburg.

Officers say the citizen confronted a group of 10 year olds on Bidwell Street late Friday afternoon.

One of the kids assaulted the resident as a result, and threatened to come back and do more damage.

After investigating furthers officers believes the same group of kids may have damaged some windows and outdoor decorations in the past.

Constable Ed Sanchuk says parents should have talk with their kids.

"Police are urging all parents and caregivers to sit down and have a conversation with their children about the consequences of committing criminal offences and respecting others and their property."

BLANDFORD BLENHEIM - OPP are investigating a break in and enter theft in Blandford Blenheim Township.

Officers say thieves entered the home on Oxford Road 29 by force sometime between 7am and 3:30pm on Friday. Three guitars, jewellery and couple Playstation 4 games have been reported stolen.
