Oxford OPP Briefs

Briefs include houses getting hit with paint balls in Ingersoll, stolen ATV in Zorra and over $11,000 in goods stolen from a home in Zorra Township.

BLANDFORD BLENHEIM - A 56 year old woman from Blandford Blenheim Township has been charged with impaired driving after police pulled her over for speeding. 

Oxford OPP say they stopped the car on Highway 2 on Monday afternoon. The initial stop was for speeding, however the officer detected alcohol on her breath and she was arrested for impaired driving.

ZORRA - Oxford OPP are investigating after an ATV was stolen from a home in Zorra Township. 

Police were called out to the home on Road 74 after the machine was taken overnight on Sunday. Stolen was a 1989 "Fourtrax" model ATV with the license plate number 90AS7. The ATV is worth an estimated $4,000. 

The incident remains under investigation.

INGERSOLL - Police are looking into another case of a drive by paintballing in Ingersoll. 

Police say a number of homes on Peltz Drive were hit with paintballs on Saturday night. Two of the homes had their shutters damaged from the paint. A second homeowner on Linden Place also reported his house getting shot with paintballs at 3 a.m. on Sunday. 

Police are still investigating both mischief incidents.

ZORRA - A house in Zorra Township was ransacked after a break and enter on the 15th Line. 

Police say the house was broken into sometime between Saturday February 4th and Thursday April 13th. 

The following items were stolen. 

- Samsung tablet
- Schwinn men's blue bicycle
- Two sets of men's gold cufflinks
- Two men's gold bracelets
- Two gold tie clips
- A men's gold wedding band
- Men's Esquire watch
- Men's Rolex watch

The value of the stolen items is approximately $11,000. An investigation is ongoing.
