Briefs include a woman facing multiple charges in Ingersoll, including two counts of assaulting a police officer, a break, enter and theft in Ingersoll, assault charges in Ingersoll and theft in East Zorra-Tavistock.

OXFORD COUNTY - A 50-year old Ingersoll woman is facing multiple offences including two counts of assaulting a police officer after Oxford County OPP stopped her vehicle in Zorra Township.

OPP responded to a traffic complaint from a concerned resident on August 22nd at approximately 2:22 p.m. who saw the woman's car hit another vehicle and then fled the area. 

Officers who were patrolling the area found the vehicle and stopped it near Charles Street East and Daniel Street in Ingersoll.

The driver was taken into custody and subsequently transported back to the OPP detachment, when the accused assaulted two police officers.

As a result, police have charged the woman with the following offences:

- Resisting A Peace Officer
- Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration 80 plus
- Fail to remain
- Assault Peace Officer (2 counts)

She is scheduled to appear in a Woodstock courtroom at a later date.

OXFORD COUNTY - Oxford County OPP investigated a break, enter and theft at a home in Ingersoll.

Police responded to the incident on August 23rd at approximately 9:00 p.m, which was located on Bell Street.

Police say the unknown suspects went to the home in between August 21st -23rd and damaged a fence surrounding a secured compound. Once they got inside, they removed a catalytic converter from a vehicle that was parked on the property. 

The suspects tried to remove a catalytic converter from a second vehicle, but they were unable to.

The theft and damage to the fence and vehicles is estimated at approximately $6,000.

Members of the Oxford County OPP are continuing to investigate and are seeking the public's assistance with this investigation. If anyone has any information they are being asked to contact the Oxford County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.

OXFORD COUNTY - A 14 year-old boy is facing multiple assault charges after an incident at a home in Ingersoll.

Oxford County OPP responded to a report of an assault on Thames Street North on August 21st at approximately 6:24 p.m.

Four kids got into a physical confrontation after two kids stole an item and fled from the area with the victims following. 
The two kids who were trying to get back their items were assaulted, and police were contacted.

Officers arrived on scene and located one of the suspects and took them into custody without incident. Officers are still investigating to find locate the second person involved, who is also facing an assault charge.

Police have charged a 14-year-old boy with the following offences:

- Obstruction of a peace officer
- Assault
- Theft

He is scheduled to appear in a Woodstock courtroom at a later date.

OXFORD COUNTY - Oxford County OPP responded to a report of stalks of sweet corn stolen from a field in East Zorra-Tavistock.

Police received a report about a the incident at a field on a 16th Line on August 21 at approximately 4:43 p.m.

 According to the report, the two suspects were seen in a field of sweet corn, cutting down the corn stalks. They then loaded the stalks and corn into the trunk of a vehicle and left the area in an unknown direction.

The suspects were both described as East Indian and were driving a black Chevrolet Impala. Officers got to the area, however the car had left before police arrived.

Oxford County OPP are continuing to investigate and are seeking the public's assistance with this investigation.
