Rail Security Under Debate After Foiled Terror Plot

There's been talk of beefing up security around the country's rail lines following Monday's news that two would-be terrorists were allegedly targeting a passenger train. But experts say the best way to protect railways is to invest in counter-terrorism intelligence, not baggage screening and metal detectors. They say it's simply not practical to try to secure sprawling rail networks. Ontario's attorney general had suggested that train travel might benefit from the same types of security measures used for planes.
