RBC Donates $7,500 to Habitat Builds in Woodstock and Ingersoll

The Habitat for Humanity Build in Woodstock is one giant step closer to finishing the homes.

WOODSTOCK - The Habitat for Humanity Build in Woodstock is one giant step closer to finishing the homes.

This morning RBC presented Habitat for Humanity Heartland with a cheque worth $7 500 at the build site of the Main Street homes. RBC Regional Vice President of Huron Perth, and Oxford Manon Johanns says helping with this kind of project is an easy decision to make. "At RBC we always love getting involved in the communities in which we actually do business. This is a fabulous cause - seeing the families that will benefit from these homes is absolutely outstanding for us. So again it's a worthy cause, it effects the people of Woodstock and the community, an we're thrilled to be part of it."

Both families attended the presentation to accept the cheque. "For me I look at the family and I can't help but think this is life changing for them," says Johanns. "It's a good feeling, it's a good feeling to be able to help people in this community."

All the money from this financial gift will be going directly to the Oxford County builds, including the Ingersoll location.

Although this is a huge help, there is also a great need for community volunteers. Right now, Habitat is desperately seeking framers to help close in the homes so work can begin inside. To find out how you can get involved visit Habitat4Home.ca or call the volunteer coordinator at 519-455-6623 ext. 207
