Local real estate activity saw the best October it's had in the region in six years.

98 home were sold with an average price of just under $236,600, which is up 3.6 percent from this time last year.

While prices continue to rise, new listings fell about eight percent to just 138 units in October.

According to Woodstock-Ingersoll and District Real Estate Board President William Cattle, resale housing activity in the region continues to look very strong compared to a much quieter market last year.
