Several Theft Calls

Woodstock Police spent a lot of time the past two days dealing with theft calls

WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police have been busy this past few days dealing with a number of theft calls. 

The first happened Thursday just before 8pm when someone called about the theft of a back pack and mountain bike from a Norwich Avenue business. Then around 11pm the victim spotted a man riding a bicycle he thought was his. Police responded and charged 39 year old Cameron Weston of Woodstock with  theft, possession of property obtained by crime and breach of probation.  
 
Then around 9:30 Thursday night Police were called to a Rideau Street home for a report of the theft of a truck topper from a Ford F150 pickup truck.  The truck topper is valued at $4500.00. 
 
Then just after midnight today, Woodstock Police received a report of a theft from an unlocked vehicle on Delatre Street.  The unlocked vehicle was entered and ransacked but nothing appeared to be taken. 
 
And again at 7 this morning, Woodstock Police received a report of the theft of a Garmin G.P.S. unit and loose change from an unlocked vehicle on Ferguson Drive, theft of change from an unlocked vehicle on Hunter Street and the theft a cheque book from an unlocked pickup truck on Lindsay Road. 
 
Woodstock Police remind you to remove valuables from your vehicles and to keep your vehicle locked.
