Southwestern Public Health Confirms 15 New Cases of COVID-19 This Morning

We currently have 255 active cases in the SW Public Health region after the health unit confirmed 15 new cases today and 31 resolved cases.

OXFORD/ST.THOMAS/ELGIN - Southwestern Public Health has confirmed 15 new cases of the virus today and 31 resolved cases. 

We currently have 12 people in the hospital with the virus, including 4 in the ICU. The Health Unit is reporting 255 active cases with most of them in Tillsonburg, Woodstock, Norwich Township, and St. Thomas. Here is the breakdown of the locations according to Southwestern Public Health:

East Zorra-Tavistock - 13

Ingersoll - 10

Zorra Township - 10

South-West Oxford - 5

Blandfordp-Blenheim - 1 

St. Thomas - 28

West Elgin - 2

The Health Unit is also reporting 11 active outbreaks at long term care homes: 

Harvest Crossing Retirement Residence - 0 resident cases, 1 staff case and 0 deaths

Chartwell Oxford Gardens - 0 resident cases, 1 staff case and 0 deaths

Dayspring Residence Tillsonburg - 1 resident cases, 0 staff case and 0 deaths

Extendicare/Port Stanley - 0 resident cases, 2 staff case and 0 deaths 

Trillium Retirement Home/Norwich Township - 13 resident cases, 5 staff cases and 0 deaths 

Carressant Care Bonnie Place/St. Thomas - 2 resident case, 0 staff cases and 1 death 

Woodingford Lodge/Woodstock site - 2 resident cases, 1 staff cases, 0 deaths 

PeopleCare/Tavistock - 46 resident cases, 36 staff cases, 9 deaths 

Maple Manor/Tillsonburg - 85 resident cases, 53 staff cases, 17 deaths
