Southwestern Public Health Confirms 31 New Cases on Sunday

We now have 84 ongoing cases of COVID-19 within the entire Southwestern Public Health Unit after officials reported 31 new cases yesterday.

OXFORD/ST.THOMAS/ELGIN - Southwestern Public Health reported a spike in COVID-19 cases yesterday.

Officials reported 31 new cases on Sunday, bringing the total number of ongoing cases to 84. You can find the complete break down below;

Aylmer - 59

Woodstock - 12

Blandford-Blenheim - 3

St. Thomas - 3

Ingersoll - 2

Tillsonburg - 2

Bayham - 1

Central Elgin - 1

West Elgin - 1

Only one outbreak remains in effect at this time; Alymer Retirement Residence. It was declared almost two weeks ago and only one resident has tested positive for the virus since then. One death has also been reported.
