SWPH Confirms 27 New Cases of COVID-19 This Morning

On the bright side, the Health Unit did report more resolved cases than new cases this morning.

OXFORD/ST.THOMAS/ELGIN - Southwestern Public Health Unit confirmed 27 new cases of COVID-19 this morning and 33 resolved cases. 

This brings our total number of ongoing cases to 205. You can find a complete breakdown of the numbers, based on location here.

Ingersoll - 8

Blandford-Blenheim - 7

Zorra - 6

East-Zorra Tavistock - 6

South-West Oxford - 4

St. Thomas - 46

Aylmer - 29

Bayham - 18

Central Elgin - 2

Malahide - 2

West Elgin - 1 

Twelve people are currently being treated for the virus in hospital, including three people in the ICU. 

The Health Unit says 84.9 percent of residents 12+ have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and 82.6 percent have been fully vaccinated.
