Two People Arrested After a Single Vehicle Crash in SWOX

Two people were arrested and facing multiple charges after a single vehicle crash in SWOX on Sunday morning.

SOUTH-WEST OXFORD - Oxford OPP arrested two people after a single vehicle crash on Plank Line, South-West Oxford Township. 

Police the vehicle left the roadway and entered the ditch on Sunday morning. The driver and passenger were both showing signs of impairment according to police and attempted to leave the scene in the vehicle. 

The driver, a 37-year-old from Bayfield was charged with the following offences:

- Dangerous Operation
- Operation While Prohibited Under the Criminal Code
- Operation While Impaired
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance x 2
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
- Possession of over 30g Dried Cannabis in a Public Place
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 x 3
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order

A 34-year-old from Thamesford was charged with the following offences:

- Operation While Impaired
- Mischief
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance x 3
- Possession of over 30g Dried Cannabis in a Public Place
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 x 3
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
 
Both accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock at a later date.
