UPDATE: Second Person Dies in Hospital

Two people are now dead as Oxford OPP continue to investigate what they are calling suspicious deaths at a home on Highway 119 between Thamesford and Ingersoll.

Two people are now dead as Oxford OPP continue to investigate what they are calling suspicious deaths at a home on Highway 119 between Thamesford and Ingersoll.

Police were called to the home adjacent to the Tulip Gardens Gardening Centre on Tuesday morning just after 9 a.m. When they arrived they found one person with obvious signs of trauma and they were declared deceased at the scene. A second person was rushed to the hospital and later succumbed to their injuries at the London Health Sciences Centre. The investigation is still ongoing and police consider the deaths suspicious. Constable Stacey Culbert says they are not disclosing the names of the deceased or the cause of death at this time. She did say there is no public safety issue as the situation is contained. Autopsies will be conducted today at the London Health Sciences Centre.

A neighbour did stop by and spoke with the assembled media. She told Heart FM the owner of the gardening centre John Kraayenbrink lived in the home with his wife Meis Kraayenbrink and the couple are in their 90's. According to the neighbour they also had a daughter living with them.

We will provide you with more information as soon as it becomes available.
