When You See Snow, Go Slow

Oxford OPP have responded to 13 motor vehicle collisions already this morning as commuters continue to navigate messy roads.

Road conditions are a mess in Oxford County right now and things don't look like they will be clearing up this afternoon.

Already this morning OPP have responded to 13 collisions. Constable Stacey Culbert says people need to drive to the conditions and when you see snow go slow.

"We have whiteout conditions, certainly the plows are busy today, lot's of snowfall happening, happened overnight and it's also continuing it sounds like throughout the day, all of our county roads are in rough shape, including the 401. So again we are just looking for people to be prepared for the snowy conditions and when you see the snow go slow."

Culbert did say they are not getting reports of any major injuries at this time.

"We have had a few people who did have to go the hospital but we are very fortunate at this time that we haven't had any serious injuries. I was on the highway this morning and we have people who are driving way to fast for the conditions, so we need to slow down, take your time to get to your destinations today."
