Woodingford Update

Two third-party engineering consultants helping to determine the cause of a pair of sprinkler system faults at the facility

Oxford County officials are still trying to determine what caused a pair of valve failures in the sprinkler system at Woodingford Lodge in Tillsonburg.

The first happened January 11 which caused extensive water damage and displaced all 32 residents of the long term care facility.

The second happened February 28.

According to County staff, two independent third-party engineering consultants have been brought in to help with the investigation and staff believe construction and repair work remain on schedule.

County officials says residents will not be returned to the home until staff are confident the underlying issues with the sprinkler system have been addressed and risk of future flooding is minimized.

More information is expected within the next few days.
