City Police kept busy over the weekend with a pair of thefts and an impaired

WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police were kept busy this weekend with an impaired driver and a pair of thefts. 

The first happened just before 2 Saturday morning when Police say a black pickup truck was heading on County Road 17 when it drove off the roadway hitting the guard rail. When officers arrive they say the truck was over the rail with the rear wheels keeping the truck from going into a creek. 
 
32 year old Jarred Macleod of East Zorra Tavistock has been charged with impaired driving. 
 
Then around 10:30 that same morning, Police were called to a theft at a Norwich Avenue business. 
 
The security officer says they spotted a man hiding several items and then leaving the store without paying. 
 
22 year old Flavious Miron of Woodstock is charged with theft, possession of property obtained by crime and possession of a controlled substance.  
 
The on Sunday afternoon around 2pm, a Russell Street resident had started their car and moved it while they were shovelling their driveway. It was then that police say a   female suspect described as having shoulder length hair, heavyset, wearing a black shirt or coat and white sunglasses entered the vehicle and drove away.  
 
Police are reminding residents when warming vehicle not to leave them unattended.
