WOODSTOCK - A local kid from Woodstock is making a name for himself playing fastball.

Last year 15 year old Kyle Pullin was recruited to play for the Glencoe Force and is now the starting third basemen on a strong team. The Force are heading to Prince Albert Saskatchewan for the Canadian Bantom boys under 16 Championship from August 5th to the 9th. Kyle tells Heart FM how he got started playing baseball. " What started me in baseball was my uncle and my dad, they started me when I was 4 years old and then ever since I've just kept going and going and then to get scouted, it just drove me to get better, what level I can reach and what I can do."

Kyle has been playing on the team for a year now and thinks they have a real chance to compete at the Canadian Championships. " It's a very strong team, everyone bonded quick at the start, which you really need on a good team, everyone's really competed to what they should and what they have done, so it's really strong."

Kyle is doing some fundraising to help pay for the trip out west. He is doing a bottle drive and will come to your house to pick up your empties with the help of his mom. You can call his mom Chrystal at 519-532-2903 and Kyle will come to your house to pick up your empties or send her an email at pullyc@live.ca.
