A great program that combines physical activity, mentally stimulating activities and social time to help aid in slowing the progression of Alzheimer's. Individuals with early to mid-stage dementia, mild cognitive impairment and their care partners are welcome to attend.
Research continues to show that physical activity and mental stimulation are good for you and good for your brain. They encourage the development of new cells and new connections; a process the brain is capable of doing at any age. Not only can this help slow the progression of Alzheimer’s, it can decrease the risk of developing the disease.
Minds in Motion® is a program of the Alzheimer Society of Oxford and is supported with funding from the Centre for Aging and Brain Health Innovation (CABHI) through its Knowledge Mobilization Partnership Program.
