The Holiday Sharing Guide provides you with a list of food, gift and clothing drives to help some of the less fortunate in our community.
OXFORD COUNTY - The 2020 Holiday Sharing Guide for Oxford County has been updated and is ready to roll for the Holiday season.
The guide provides you with a list of food, gift and clothing drives to help some of the less fortunate in our community. Excutive Director of the Oxford United Way Kelly Gilson says this year is more crucial than ever to donate if you are able to do so.
"We know that lot's of people are in a position where they need help and this year in particular, we have more people needing help than ever."
Gilson says the Guide makes it easy to give back and it can help you navigate through the many changes the pandemic has brought on.
"The charitable drives are going to look a lot different this year because of the pandemic, whether it's Christmas meals, coat drives, a variety of different services now have safety measures in place and different rules and times and the Holiday Sharing Guide can help you navigate through that and it make easier to give back this holiday season."
The Guide is organized around options to "give help," either by donating time, funds or items, or to "get help," by accessing programs offered by community organizations, charities, and local churches.
It is a collaboration between Oxford County, InformationOxford.ca, 211 Ontario, and United Way Oxford. You can find more information online here or by calling 211.
