There's no word as to when two lanes on the 401 will reopen, after a westbound transport truck entered a ditch, struck a tree and rolled onto it's side this morning.
Two 401 lanes are still closed after a westbound tractor trailer entered a ditch, struck a tree and rolled onto it's side.
Oxford OPP say the incident occurred east of the service centre between Sweaburg Road and Foldens Line just before 9am today. The transport was carrying car parts at the time.
Members of the South-West Oxford Fire Department had to extract the male driver from the vehicle, and an Ornge Air Ambulance had to transport him to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
The Ministry of the Environment had to be called after diesel fuel spilled out of the trucks fuel tanks. Heavy tow trucks are still on scene, and there is no word as to when the lanes will reopen at this time.
