Construction on the 48 new affordable housing units on Southwood Way will start in the New Year.
WOODSTOCK - A new affordable housing project is in the works for the City of Woodstock.
The project will be funded in part, or wholly, by the Province’s recently-announced Rapid Housing Initiative (RHI) to create new permanent, affordable housing units across the country.
Oxford County Council has approved $1.4 million for the project from the Affordable Housing Reserve. Construction on the 48 new affordable housing units on Southwood Way will start in the New Year.
It should be ready to open by 2022.
