The Sobey's in Tillsonburg is the lastest victim of ATM thefts in the Region.
TILLSONBURG - The Sobey's grocery store on Broadway Street in Tillsonburg is the latest business to get targeted by ATM thieves.
Police say someone drove their truck into the store on Monday at 12:13 a.m., hooked up the ATM and drove off. The suspect vehicle is described as an early 2000's, white in colour, crew cab pick-up truck, black tonneau cover, and chrome side step bars.
The investigation is still ongoing. ATM thefts have been happening all across the province this year. It has gotten to the point where police are advising businesses to not have them in their store. They all follow these same procedure, where a truck drives into the store, causing all kinds of damage and then they drive off with the ATM.
