Oxford OPP were called after a 4 year old child was found wandering alone in their pajamas on Stover Street in Norwich.
NORWICH - Oxford OPP were called after a 4 year old child was found wandering alone in their pajamas on Stover Street in Norwich.
Officers attended and determined the child to be in good health, with no injuries. Police quickly discovered where the 4-year-old child lived and they were reunited with their caregiver.
The child left the home through a ground floor screen window.
Oxford OPP want to remind the public of a few safety tips for keeping children safe:
- Ensure all windows are closed and secure when not in use
- Keep areas in front of windows free and clear of objects
- Utilize a monitoring device to alert when movement is detected
- Install window guards or locks
- Install double hung windows that allow for the same ventilation at the top
