Pierre Poilievre has launched a petition calling on all levels of government to end all pandemic related mandates and restrictions, including masks and vaccine passports.
A serious contend for the Conservative leadership is calling on all levels of Government to end all pandemic related mandates and restrictions.
Pierre Poilievre announced his intention to seek the Conservative leadership last weekend. Poilievre has been one of the most vocal critics of Prime Minister Trudeau over the past two terms. The MP from Carlton has also been an advocate for the protestors in Ottawa, posing for several photos and even showing up to one of the overpasses to cheer them on.
Poilievre has launched a petition which calls for three specific actions to happen immediately.
1. An end to all federal vaccine mandates, including allowing unvaccinated public servants to get their jobs and incomes back, and removing federal vaccine requirements on truckers and all other federally-regulated workers.
2. A plan to end mandates, passports and restrictions.
3. A clear rejection by all levels of governments of a tax on the unvaccinated.
Several Provinces have already announced plans to remove all restrictions, including the mask mandates and vaccine passports. Alberta has already lifted both and Manitoba announced today they will lift mask mandates and vaccine passports in early March.
Ontario Premier Doug Ford stated today that the Province is on track to remove almost all restrictions but did not give a timeline.
