Woodingford Lodge costs could go up again. County Council was told about a plan to move the food service at the two satellite locations on-site. This would be cheaper than the current dietary program, but will cost more in the short-term to install what's needed to run a food service in Ingersoll and Tillsonburg. Some councillors are fed up with the spending and want to find ways to move on from running Woodingford. Councillor Sandra Talbot realizes these costs, but thinks Woodingford has an importance to the community. "We're providing the service now, and if we were to give that up, if we were to put those beds on the market, what control do we have to know that they're going to stay in this community and we're going to be able to have that service for our residents." Acting CAO Lynn Buchner says it would take a chunk out of the 2013 budget but on-site services would save them in the long-run. Up to 140-thousand dollars could be saved at each facility annually.
