COVID-19 Returns to Tillsonburg

Southwestern Public Health has confirmed an active case of COVID-19 in the Town of Tillsonburg.

OXFORD/ST.THOMAS/ELGIN - Southwestern Public Health has confirmed an active case of COVID-19 in the Town of Tillsonburg 

This means, Oxford County currently has 4 active cases and they have two active cases in St. Thomas/Elgin County. 

You can get a break down of the cases by Township in Oxford County below:

- 1 case in Tillsonburg
- 1 case in Woodstock
- 1 case in Ingersoll 
- 1 case in East Zorra Tavistock 

To date, the Health Unit has tested 3,712 people for COVID-19. We have 66 cumulative confirmed cases, 56 cases have been resolved, 4 people have died from the virus and we currently have 6 active cases. We have also had three institutional outbreaks since the pandemic was declared. Two outbreaks were in Elgin County and they are listed as resolved. The new institutional outbreak is at Secord Trails Long Term Care Home in the Town of Ingersoll. An employee has tested positive for the virus. All staff and residents have been tested and as of this publication, no further cases have been confirmed at the Long Term Care Home.
