Dinner is Served at Stich Supper Club

The Stich Supper Club feeds about 100 people at the Ingersoll Legion every Thursday evening.

INGERSOLL - The Stich Supper Club is serving sausages at the Ingersoll Legion this evening.

They also serve soups from Louie's Pizza and Pasta; alongside bread, salads and desserts every Thursday evening. It starts at 4:30 p.m. and wraps up at 6 p.m.

Volunteer Coordinator Linda Smith says it's a free meal but they do accept donations.

"Some people give us as little as $2 and other people give $20. If you're not able to afford a donation that's okay too because we are there to provide not only a meal but also a social atmosphere for people to socialize with their friends and neighbours."

Smith says they usually serve about 100 people a week, even more around the holiday season.

Smith adds volunteers are always needed.

"Most of the volunteers come for two hours from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. because that's when we need the most of them for serving the meal. There's also people there right from 12 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. to do food preparation. We're really grateful for all of our volunteers."
