Donations Continue to Pour in For the London Middlesex Humane Society

For the past two weeks, donations have continued to pour in for the London Middlesex Humane Society.

WOODSTOCK - For the past two weeks, donations have continued to pour in for the London Middlesex Humane Society.

Woodstonian Bobbie Hurst started a collection after the shelter rescued 151 cats from a local motel last Monday. She has been overwhelmed by the support.

"I couldn't even count how many items we have collected. The outpour of generosity has been amazing. My husband went to Pet Smart last night and they had tons of cat food, cat litter, all kinds of great stuff. It was wonderful how the community came together and we were able to do this. I am proud to say I live in Woodstock."

Hurst has already collected two full Jeep loads and is bring the last one to the shelter this afternoon. Hurst says a number of local businesses have been really supportive.

"We had Pet Valu in Woodstock, Pet Smart in Woodstock, Food Basics Woodstock, Zehrs Woodstock, Tremblett's in Ingersoll, a huge donation from Foodland Ingersoll, I hope I don't miss anyone and then we had so many people drop off items at my house in Woodstock."

The Humane Society is also in need of cash donations to help them deal with this massive influx of cats. You can send those cash donations online here.
