A couple of free online healthy living workshops are available to anyone in Oxford County looking to learn how to cope with a chronic illness or chronic pain.
OXFORD COUNTY - Everyone in Oxford County is invited to attend free online healthy living and caregiver support workshops.
The workshops on chronic pain are funded by the Southwest LHIN and the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care. Program Outreach Officer for the Southwest Health Management Program Jackie Alves explains who might be interested in these workshops.
"These programs are fantastic for people with any kind of chronic condition, chronic conditions are things like high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, chronic pain, arthritis, Parkinson's disease, the list goes on and on."
67 percent of Canadians have one or more chronic conditions. The Take Charge of Your Life workshop is starting on July 7th. You can Join the workshop from your own computer, tablet or smart phone Tuesday Mornings 9:30am-12:00pm July 7th to August 11th.
The Living a Health Life with Chronic Pain workshop starts on July 9th. Join the workshop from your own computer, tablet or smart phone Thursday afternoons 1:00pm - 3:30pm July 9th – August 13th.
