WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police were responding to reports about a man with a weapon in the area of Stafford Street Wednesday afternoon.
Several people contacted the Heart FM newsroom about the increased police presence in the area. It turned out to be a false alarm. WPS set up a perimeter in the area and found the allegations to be unfounded.
Police did want to thank the community for their patience and cooperation while the police conducted the investigation and blocked off the surrounding streets.
